For the Stir-Fry
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 cups mixed bell peppers, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
For the Sauce
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup beef broth
Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, sugar, and beef broth until smooth. Set aside.
Cook the Beef: In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Add the onion, garlic, and mixed bell peppers. Stir-fry for about 2 minutes, then add the broccoli and cook for another 2 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
Combine: Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour the sauce over the mixture and stir well to coat. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce has thickened and everything is heated through.
Serve: Serve the stir-fry hot over steamed rice or noodles, and enjoy!
